This beautiful turtle pendant is crafted from sterling silver and Pāua shell
Pāua shells are only found in one area of the world (New Zealand), making them both rare and much sought after. It is also sometimes referred to as a marine or sea opal. There are stringent controls in place to limit the collection and ensure sustainability, they have to be harvested by using only traditional “free diving” methods and the use of scuba equipment or modern machinery to farm them is strictly forbidden.
Pāua Shell is said to enhance feelings of peace, compassion and love. It has a lovely warm, gentle vibration. It is great in times of tough emotional issues, soothing the nerves and encouraging a calm demeanour. It is said to gently help open our psychic and intuitive connections.
